Friday Favorites Cupcakes Edition!

Who can resist this adorable fad?  Not me!  All the ooey, gooey cuteness with zero guilt.

Here's an adorable pair of cupcake earrings from FauxFoodFun.  While you're there, check out the rest of her shop, she makes lovely items.

Another lovely shop with the cuuuutest hats, this cupcake hat is from Artology.  I'm seriously eyeballing one of these hats for my 1 year old.  Hey, I can only get away with a hat like that for so long I should go for it, right?  Let's just forget about the other 5 hats I bought her on clearance last year.

Cupcakes and Halloween?  Together?  Leave it to an Etsian to mix the two and have it turn out great.  Here's an original painting by jessieoleson.

10 Things Tuesday

I remembered but I don't have a topic.  Eek!

Top 10 Favorite trends right now
  1. Cupcakes.  Who can resist?  All the cuteness, none of the calories!
  2. Birds.
  3. Owls.  This took a while to grow on me, but they are kinda cute.
  4. Pink/brown.  Well anything and brown really.  Hated pink before, now I love it with brown.  Go figure.
  5. Square photos.  Love this look.  Love it.
  6. Eco friendly.  I love that we're putting the earth ahead of showing off or doing it just cuz we can.
  7. Handmade.  Not just on Etsy, but there's a definate trend towards the higher quality and not made in China.
  8. Kitch jewelry.  At 28 I shouldn't be attracted to it, but it's too darn cute!
  9. Wooland creatures.  Again, cute as can be.  As long as my husband doesn't have them in the freezer!
  10. Repurposed items.  I've been doing this for years.  I guess I was a trend setter and had no idea LOL

Friday Favorites

Just some random things I've heart-ed on Etsy recently.

This adorable bracelet from topaz08 is so cool!  It looks so good I think it might give me an energy boost all day long. This shirt from fatamerican pretty much sums up my feelings of the House of Wal.  While you're at the listing, check out the rest of their shirts, there's some good stuff.

Sorry its a small edition.  I was up late with a teething baby.

10 Things Tuesday Wednesday Edition

Yesterday was my birthday, I forgot about 10 Things.  I was a Tuesday baby (full of grace....I think not!) so it was cool to have a Tuesday birthday.

10 things I want to create soon:
  1. Prayer altered tin
  2. Name/Address altered tin
  3. Recipe altered tin
  4. Teacher clipboards
  5. Books to Read mini notebook for myself, possibly to sell
  6. Baby's First Christmas mini album
  7. Travel word book
  8. Baby Boy word book
  9. School mini album
  10. Perpetual calendar book
Can you tell I stocked up on altered tins?  I think they will be great for Christmas gifts so I'm hoping to get some made up soon.  Lots of ideas, now if the kidlets will cooperate and let me get something done :)

Time To Destash

I am out of room for paper.  This means I spent the better part of an hour tonight making paper packs and will photograph them tomorrow and list this week.  I'm also going to do a special buy 4 and get one free!  My Stack 5 packs are already on sale since I found about 100 extra sheets of paper (that's about 600 sheets of 4x6 papers, 20 to a pack) Oopsie!

So yeah, lots of paper and supplies being destashed this week.  If you need anything in particular convo or email me and I'll get it up sooner.  I like to list one new thing a day or every other day but if there's a demand for it, I'll get it up sooner.

I think I can also destash some eyelets and brads.  Possibly some stickers sets.  I have tons of partially used alpha sets I'd love to destash.

So keep an eye on my Etsy shop for lots of great prices on scrapbooking and card making supplies.

Friday Favorites

Two weeks in a row I remembered!  Who else is shocked, show of hands...

This week's theme is Back To School!  My 6 year old is finishing his third week of school today, but I know a lot of schools are just starting.

And just how cute is this bookmark from Ametista?  At only $6 for a handmade polymer clay piece, it's a bargain as well.  Don't raise the price on us, it would be a perfect stocking stuffer for my son.  If you get an order from S. Claus, it's for us, k?

Here's a reusable shopping bag from jenhintz.  She claims to get two loads of laundry in it so it would be perfect for your college student to bring laundry home on the weekends.

Here's a cell phone case on a caribeaner from FullHouseCrafts to attach to a bookbag, belt loop or laptop case.

Last, but certainly not least, is a cute school themed scarf from Handmadecrafter perfect for a teacher or recess monitor.  It gets cold out there in the winter!

Scrapbook Supplies

I had known about Etsy for a few years now but I never thought of buying supplies there. I wish I had known much sooner! Paper packs seem to be more popular that whole sheets. There are handmade embellishments, buttons, brads, tins, ribbon, and sooooo much more!

In the search bar, you have to drop down to supplies to search supplies. It's not the best system, but it doesn't clog the handmade with supplies so they should be easier to find.

I sell paper packs, die cuts, silk flowers, and sometimes some extra eyelets and brads. I love to destash on Etsy. I love to buy as well since the costs seem to be lower than ebay and the shipping prices seem to be a lot more reasonable.
