Air Fryer Corn on the Cob Recipe

Learn how to make delicious air fryer corn on the cob.  This is a quick and simple way to make corn that's completely hands off and cooks beautifully.

In the summer, we eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables from our garden and orchard.  What we don't grow, we buy from local farmers.

I live in farm country.  Our small farm is surrounded by corn or soy fields on three sides with the road on the fourth side.   Dairy cows, corn, and soy support most of members of this county.

There is no shortage of fresh sweet corn.  The farmers pick it and place it in huge bins in their yards.  You pull up, grab some, and place the money in the tin.

I get a great deal on fresh picked sweet corn, and the farmer can get a higher price than selling it at auction.  It's a win for everyone.

We have sweet corn several times a week in the summer.  It's a quick and easy side dish, and two of my three kids will eat it.

Air Fryer Corn on the Cob Recipe

I used to boil my sweet corn.   My grandmother boiled it, my mom boiled it, and I boiled it for many years.

Then I got an air fryer.  I didn't think I would use an air fryer.  I thought it was just another kitchen gadget.

My oldest son was the first to use the air fryer.  He loves it and uses several times a week for lunches and for reheating foods.

I'll be honest, I didn't really know what to do with the air fryer at first.  Once I started using it, I got more comfortable trying new recipes.

So I decided to try making corn on the cob in the air fryer, and now it's the only way that I'll make it.

I grew up on boiled corn, so I'll give you directions to make this air fryer corn on the cob taste like boiled corn or like it was grilled or roasted.

Foil vs No Foil

If you wrap the ears of corn in foil, this will taste more like boiled corn.  Omit the foil for a grilled corn.

You can safely use foil in your air fryer as long as you don't cover the bottom of it.

How Long Do You Cook Corn on the Cob in an Air Fryer?

I cook mine for 10 minutes, but air fryer times vary widely between models.  I recommend setting the timer for 8 minutes and checking on it.

Can I Cook Frozen Corn in an Air Fryer?

Yes, you can.  I think fresh corn tastes better than frozen corn.  Freezing fresh sweet corn will taste better than the frozen corn you get at the store too.

I like to let the corn thaw on the counter for 30 minutes before I cook it.

Air Fryer Corn on the Cob Ingredients

  • Corn, husked and washed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic

Directions

Step #1

Remove the husks and silk and wash the corn.  Cut them in half if they do not fit in your air fryer.

Step #2

Brush melted butter on corn.  You can also spray with olive oil, but I think the butter tastes better.

Step #3

Place the corn in the air fryer.  Cook at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.  I rotate them at 4 minutes.

Step #4

Remove from air fryer.  Add butter, salt, pepper, and garlic to taste.
