Dollar Tree Christmas Sign 2020 Decorations

How to make a cute and easy Dollar Tree Christmas sign. This 2020 decorations uses Dollar Tree supplies for a cheap Christmas decoration for your home.

This year, I wanted to make some new Christmas decorations.  We run a nonprofit, and I like to decorate it for Christmas.  Unfortunately, as a nonprofit, there is no budget for decorations.

Thankfully, we've had three tree donated.  I found some beautiful ornaments on clearance after Christmas one year, so I can decorate those.

There are several large blank walls, I wanted to make some Christmas signs to fill the gaps.  Of course, I headed to my favorite store for supplies.

This Dollar Tree Christmas sign was made entirely with Dollar Tree supplies.  It was quick and easy, which is definitely a bonus for my schedule.  Now, it hangs in the foyer to greet people as they walk into the building.

I already made a Dollar Tree pizza pan motivational sign for the restrooms and a DIY Dollar Tree fall farmhouse sign.

The Dollar Tree pizza pans turn out great, but I wanted something a little different for Christmas.  If you want to make this as a pizza pan sign, it will definitely work.

You will need some ribbon to go around the picture, but you can use nautical rope or even the mop head string like I did in the other two signs.  Click on those tutorials for photos and to see what I used.

Dollar Tree Supplies

For this Dollar Tree Christmas sign, I used everything from Dollar Tree.  For the base, I used an ornament sign.

The ornament sign is cute on its own, but of course I had to alter it.  Because why not?

The holiday signs tend to go quick at Dollar Tree, so snag them when you see them.  You can also get this sign on Amazon if you missed it at your local store.

For the Christmas picture, I used a scene from a calendar.  I'll count that as $1 for the total cost, but I used the fall page for the fall farmhouse sign.

And of course, I have 10 other pictures to use on future projects!

The calendars are available in October each year.  They go quick, so if you see them, grab them!  I grabbed three different ones to use for Dollar Tree crafts next year.

If your Dollar Tree is already sold out, you can find really cute farmhouse wall calendars on Amazon.  The prices is a little more, but you can make 12 different projects with one calendar.

Besides those two things, I also added some poinsettias.  It looks cute enough without them, but I had some from a previous project.

You can also get poinsettias on Amazon or Etsy.

So in all, this Dollar Tree Christmas sign cost just $3 to make.  I did add some Mod Podge that I already had.

However, the only thing I bought was the sign for $1.  The rest was leftover from other projects.

Dollar Tree Christmas Sign Supplies

  • Ornament shape
  • Poinsettias
  • Calendar
  • Mod Podge
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors

Directions

Step #1

Place the calendar page over the ornament to get your placement.  You can hold the paper in place or use tape to hold it in place.

Then flip it over and trace where to cut.  Cut out the shape.  The calendar page will not be tall enough, but it will be covered by the ornament top.

Step #2

Pop off the ornament top.  Mine was easy to get off with just my fingers.  You can pry it off with a butter knife if it doesn't come off.

Step #3

Use Mod Podge to attach the picture to the ornament.  Let dry.

Step #4

Use hot glue to attach the ornament top back on the sign.

Step #5

Hot glue poinsettia flowers on top.  Don't cover the opening on top because you'll use that to hang up the sign.

And you're done!  It's so cute, no one will know that it's a Dollar Tree Christmas sign with 2020 decorations.
