DIY Dollar Tree Fall Farmhouse Decor (Pizza Pan Sign)

Learn how to make an adorable DIY Dollar Tree fall decor sign with a pizza pan from the dollar store.  This is a really cute craft that costs just $4 to make.

You know you live in a small town when you're excited that there's a new Dollar Tree!  There's a Dollar Tree in the bigger city, but ours is bigger with some really cool stuff.

Last week, I left the kids at home and headed to Dollar Tree.  It's right beside a good thrift store, and I was on a mission.

I was on the hunt for Halloween costume pieces and something to decorate over my mantel.  I like farmhouse signs for that space, so that's what I was looking for.

I had some wood at home, but I lucked out and found (almost) everything at Dollar Tree.  I couldn't find flowers I liked, but I did find those at Dollar General for $1 as well.

As I was strolling through Dollar General, I was looking for something to make the sign with and something to decorate it with.

I looked at the wrapping papers, wall stickers, tablecloths, and even the placemats.  They have some really cute stuff for fall 2020!

Then I found the end caps with the wall calendars.  Jackpot!

I walked by them a few times and then one caught my eye.  Dollar Tree has some seriously trendy wall calendars this year!

They have two farmhouse themed ones.  One I really liked, but I couldn't find it at two Dollar Trees.  Sad.

But I did find three more that I really, really liked, so I snagged those.

Per the clerk at my store, once they are gone, they are gone.  If you can't find them in store, try looking on Amazon for a farmhouse themed calendar.  The price is higher, but you'll get 12 pictures to use.

I scanned the store for something to stick it on, and then I remembered seeing pizza pan signs on YouTube and Pinterest.

The trendy wall calendars are a bit smaller than the pizza pans, but I can make it work!

I headed to crafts and found some rope.  One package of rope wrapped around the sign twice with enough leftover to make a hanger.

Their fall flowers were almost gone, so I didn't find any at Dollar Tree.  I did find this really cute set at Dollar General, so I snagged those and used them.

Dollar Tree Fall Farmhouse Sign Supplies

Directions

Step #1

Remove the staples from the calendar and then cut out the picture that you want to use.  Place it on the pizza pan and center it.  Use a pencil to trace where you'll need to cut to make it fit in the pan.

Step #2

Cut out the corners so the picture fits in the pan.  It will be too small, but that's ok.  We will cover the gaps later.  Use mod podge to attach the picture.

Step #3

When the mod podge is completely dry, use hot glue to glue the rope around the inner part of the pan.  I made two rows of rope to completely cover the gaps.

Use the leftover rope to make a hanger for the back of the sign.

Step #4

Glue flowers on top if you want.

That's it!  My total cost for this DIY Dollar Tree fall farmhouse sign was $1 for the pizza pan, $1 for the rope, $1 for the flowers, and $1 for the calendar.

So this Thanksgiving sign cost $4, but I can make more signs for $3 with other pictures from the calendar.

I hope this Dollar Tree Fall decor inspires you!  Have some fun with it!  I ended up making 5 signs on in one day, so check back for more ideas.
