Candy Cane Wreath Craft
When the holidays are close, I hit my favorite craft supply store: Dollar Tree. Although none of us were happy about the price increase, they did step up their game for craft supplies.
They have a candy cane wreath form every year. I've always wanted to make one, but I didn't have any candy cane wreath ideas or inspiration.
This year, I found some leggings that would be perfect for making my own version of it. I also used some ribbon I had in my stash from Dollar Tree.
No one sees my porch since I live half a mile from the road, so I'm hanging it over my mantle. You can use it on a front door, but I recommend placing it where the rain and snow won't get to it.

Dollar Tree Candy Cane Wreath Craft Supplies
Here's what you need to make a candy cane wreath DIY:
Candy Cane Wreath Form - You can find these at Dollar Tree in late October to December. They sell out quickly, so grab it when you see it! You can also order them online from Dollar Tree. You can also find them on Amazon or Etsy.
Dollar Tree Leg Warmers - I found a two pack of off-white leg warmers. You can also use socks, but they may not be long enough.
Dollar Tree Burlap Ribbon - Find burlap ribbon with the craft supplies or the floral supplies or buy. You can also find burlap ribbon on Etsy.
Black and White Checked Ribbon - I found this at Dollar Tree with the craft supplies. You can also find it on Etsy.
Christmas Greenery - I found some greenery with berries for a little bit of contrast and interest behind the bow.

Dollar Tree Candy Cane Wreath Tutorial
Step #1
Place the leg warmers on the candy cane wreath form. I used hot glue to attach the fabric to the wire.
Step #2
The leg warmers are a bit too big, so I folded the sides of the leg warmers towards the middle on the back of the wreath form. I used hot glue to attach it to hold it down.
Step #3
Then cut your ribbon. I cut a 12 inch and a 6 inch section of the black and white check ribbon. Cut the burlap into an 8 inch section and a 3 inch section.

Step #4
Then fold the 12, 8, and 6 inch sections and use hot glue to secure. Layer them from largest to smallest. Fold the 3 inch section and use it to wrap around the middle of the bow and use hot glue to secure it. Then attach to the wreath. Add greenery if desired.
