What Are Hot Cocoa Pudding Shots?

A pudding shot is when alcohol (or any other drink) is mixed with a pudding mix and served in a shot glass. Hot cocoa pudding shots are very similar to regular pudding shots, except they use hot cocoa mix in tandem with the pudding.

This makes for a unique hot chocolate flavor that pairs well with different types of alcohol, as well as other toppings such as marshmallows or peppermint. These are also often called christmas pudding shots as they can be infused with all sorts of fun winter flavors.

How Do You Eat Pudding Shots?

Typically, pudding shots are eaten straight out of the cup they are put in, either by tipping the cup and waiting for it to fall out or with a spoon. There are other ways to eat pudding shots as well, however.

Further, pudding shots can be used in tandem with other treats, or can be served in bowls or on plates depending on the thickness of the pudding.

Can You Get Drunk Off Chocolate Shots?

As with any alcoholic beverage, there is always the potential for intoxication. There are many factors that influence how your body processes alcohol, so one cannot really say how many servings of a particular drink it would take to make you drunk.

With that being said, you should always assume that there is a risk of intoxication, plan accordingly, and drink responsibly.  Always keep these hot cocoa pudding shots out of reach of children.

Why Are My Pudding Shots Runny?

If your pudding shots are runny, there is a chance that the alcohol content of the mixture is too high. There are thus two ways to fix this problem.

The first is to use a different kind of alcohol with a lower alcohol content when making the pudding shots.

The second option is to add some whipped cream to the mixture to thicken it up while keeping the taste intact. Either method is perfectly fine, so it is up to you to choose!

Do Pudding Shots Have To Be Frozen?

No, chocolate pudding shots do not have to be frozen before they can be eaten. However, if you want to, you can freeze them before serving them.

You can enjoy your chocolate pudding shots either frozen or thawed. However, if you do freeze them I recommend letting them thaw in the fridge for a few minutes before serving them.

How Long Will Pudding Shots Last In Freezer?

Pudding shots will last about a month in your freezer, and about five days in your refrigerator.

For instance, you could use a basic liquid such as milk or water, however, that might dilute the flavor of the pudding cup rather than add to it. You could also use a non-alcoholic variant of a favored drink as well.
