Easy Christmas Punch Recipe

Learn how to make a traditional Christmas punch recipe.   This is an easy Christmas punch that you can make for a crowd for your holiday parties.  It is alcoholic, but I also have directions to make it non alcoholic.

Holiday Punch Recipe

When we're hosting a party, the last thing I want to do is be prepping food and drinks when the guests arrive.  No, that's when we're mad cleaning because we have three kids and five animals.

This Christmas punch alcoholic is very easy to make by the pitcher, so you can make it as guests arrive and not miss spending time with your family or friends.

This holiday punch recipe does have vodka in it, but you can easily make it without it to serve to kids.  Always make sure kids don't drink this Christmas punch with vodka and drink responsibly.

What Is Christmas Punch Made Of?

This is an easy Christmas punch with just five ingredients, including the garnishes.

Cranberry Juice - Look for a 100 percent cranberry juice.  You can also use cran apple juice for a more complex flavor.  I use my canned cranberry juice.

Vodka - Use your favorite vodka.  I use a mid grade like Skyy vodka because it's what I use to make my homemade vanilla extract with vanilla beans.

Lemonade - You can use your favorite lemonade.  I usually just use a low sugar drink packet to cut the sugar, but you can use a bottle of your favorite lemonade.

Ginger Ale - Use your favorite ginger ale, and you can use a sugar free drink if you prefer.  You cana lso use ginger beer or club soda in place of the ginger ale.

Garnishes - You can choose your own garnishes.  Good ones to use are fresh cranberries, orange slices, and rosemary sprigs.

Using Different Alcohol for Traditional Christmas Punch

I make a Christmas punch with vodka, but you can swap the vodka.  Vodka has a neutral flavor, so that's why I like it.

However, you can use your favorite rum.  White rum is really good, but a dark rum also works.  You can also try a cranberry or citrus flavored vodka.

You can also use a sparkling wine or champagne instead of the vodka if you prefer.

How to Make Non Alcoholic Christmas Punch Recipe

One of the reasons that this is the best Christmas punch recipe is because it's so easy to make non alcoholic.

Simply omit the vodka for a family friendly easy Christmas punch.  You either omit the vodka completely or replace it with club soda, more ginger ale, or a lemon lime soda.

If some guests will want alcohol and others will not, you can make your holiday punch recipe without alcohol and set a bottle of vodka or rum on the table so guests can mix their own drinks.
